    1. Hi Nora,
I went back and checked my photos from my trip to Ireland last year. These photos are definitely of Ballycahill Church. I was taken there by a cousin. The Community Hall where the Fannings went to school, I thought she said was Ballycahill, but I could be wrong on that. regards Kathleen

  1. Hi Kathleen,
I’m from Ballycahill, the photos are definitely of Inch/Ragg (Monroe) church and community hall. It actually says “Inch Community Centre” above the door in the photo.

The old school in Ballycahill was converted to a private house about 10 years ago.

    1. Hi David,
Thanks for clearing that up. I must have just assumed it was Ballycahill Church when I was taken there as we had just been to Ballycahill Cemetery where lots of Fannings are buried. Do you know the name of the church in Inch? Which Fannings are you related to? regards Kathleen

    1. Thanks Nora. I have updated this post. I must have just assumed it was Ballycahill Church when I was taken there on a whirlwind visit of many Fanning related sites. Do you know the name of this church?
