These are some more photos by Robert French of areas in Co Tipperary that would have been very familiar to the Fannings.
These photos are part of the Lawrence Collection of 40,000 Irish photos and are in the National Library of Ireland in Dublin.

Thanks for the pictures, Kathleen.
I need to take a look at the library collection. Coincidentally I have ancestors from both Roscrea and Templemore.
My ancestor John D’Arcy was in the army in Templemore – probably at the barracks.
i would like to enquire if it possible to buy prints of these photos of roscrea
thank you
daniel
I’m not sure but it may be possible through the National Library of Ireland in Dublin.
They do have what is called a Reprograhic Services section: http://www.nli.ie/en/copying-services.aspx where you can get prints.
Whether you can get prints of photos in the Lawrence Collection I don’t know. Let me know if you are successful.

Hi Steve,
Have you looked in Rootsireland for North Tipperary? They say they are adding more records all the time.
Thank you I really enjoyed, reading about your ancestors in Kilmore, Monegeetta hotel as I lived there, my relatives owned the Duck holes hotel on the Sunbury-Romsey Road which is old but (still standing ) photos in HeraldSun a few weeks ago.
