Also . . . William (Bill) Forde, MBE, Yorkshire, UK, is descended from a Portlaw (Co. Waterford) family, who hailed from the Killenaule area. I met him on two visits here. He has written over thirty books, mostly (?) related to Anger Management.
I have looked at in the past but I will check it out again. The ballingarry.net site is also excellent.
I forgot to say that William (Bill) Forde’s mother was a Fanning, whose father came from the Killenaule area!
